"In early March of this year, someone very close to me went 'under the knife' undergoing a facial surgery that was necessary for health reasons. I've personally never been in this situation before and many unexpected feelings and behaviors swept through me. I made an alter with the only candle I own. I wanted to be in solidarity - in spirit - with the event. I wanted to deliberately embody the energy of a positive outcome in ceremony and send that somehow through the airwaves, across the 2 1/2 hours that separated me from the physical operating room. I didn't know how to feel. I knew the exact time of the surgery. Suddenly I felt my body getting up and walking to my studio. I immediately reached for the Roland System 1 and this is what came out. Music has long been the extension - perhaps the connection - between my inner and outer worlds and I needed to create 'Love And Healing' as a container to process these complex emotions.

Technology is often repulsive to me in this state of harmony and connection with the impossible beauty of nature. The camera became a literal extension of my vision - a 'second picture' extended from my actual POV - and I saw the inner workings of form"
